OUR STORY
A History in St. Catharines
Christ Lutheran Church has been a cornerstone of the St. Catharines community for over six decades. Founded by a small group of faithful Lutherans, our congregation has grown into a vibrant community of believers who gather each week to worship, learn, and serve together.
We are a member congregation of Lutheran Church Canada, holding fast to the Lutheran confessions while embracing the diversity and richness of our local community. Our church at 140 Russell Avenue has been a place of baptisms, confirmations, weddings, and funerals — marking the milestones of life together.
Today, we continue that legacy — welcoming newcomers, nurturing faith, and serving our neighbours with the love of Christ.
WHAT WE BELIEVE
Core Beliefs
We gather every Sunday morning at 140 Russell Avenue, St. Catharines.
All are welcome.
Scripture Alone
The Bible is the inspired Word of God and the ultimate authority for faith and life.
Grace Alone
Salvation is entirely God’s gift — not earned, but freely given through His grace.
Faith Alone
We receive God’s grace through faith in Jesus Christ, not through our own works.
Community
We are called to love and serve one another and our neighbours in St. Catharines.

Pastor Todd is a graduate of Concordia Lutheran Theological Seminary – St. Catharines and was ordained here at Christ Lutheran on May 21, 2000.
